History
Zac Taylor, owner of Taylor’s Auto & Detail, brings precision, discipline, and deep technical expertise to every vehicle he touches. His passion for mechanics began long before he opened Taylor’s Auto & Detail. He served in the U.S. Army for six years as a helicopter engine mechanic, where he specialized in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and rebuilding aircraft engines. During his service, he also earned a degree in Aviation Maintenance from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and obtained his Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) License — further cementing his technical expertise.
After completing his service, Zac was offered a position with Rolls Royce Aerospace as a jet engine mechanic. While grateful for the opportunity, he quickly realized that constant travel and corporate life weren’t the long-term fit he was looking for. With a lifelong love for working on cars and experience managing an auto repair shop prior to his military career, Zac knew it was time to build something of his own.
Opening Taylor’s Auto & Detail was the realization of a long-held dream. For Zac, this isn’t just a business — it’s a calling. He takes pride in helping people during stressful moments and making sure they leave the shop feeling safe, valued and back on the road with confidence.

This is by far the most reliable and trustworthy mechanic I have ever been to. He was able to get me in next day when I called for an issue many other mechanics told me they would not tackle. When the issue with my car wasn't what I had originally thought, Zac worked all day to figure out the issue and make sure he had my car fixed and taken care of. He was more than fair with pricing, communicated all day, and even stayed late to get me squared away. I will be back for all my car needs from now on. Could not recommend Taylor's Auto enough!

I recently got a used civic as my daily and wanted to get a regular mechanic to maintain it regularly and with care. Zac is the most straightforward and honest mechanic I’ve met. He’s super easy to talk to and get to know. His work is done on time, and he communicates everything he does. He also tries to save your wallet when possible and gives you a priority list to follow in terms of what needs work first. He also does great discounts for students, military, etc.! Just got my struts replaced at a reasonable price and I feel much safer on the road now with my new to me daily. He’s an experienced, retired military jet engine technician so he knows his stuff and won’t upsell you on things that don’t exist/you don’t need! Support small businesses and give Zac a call! I’m very lucky to have found this shop!

How quickly can you schedule a service?
We are differently from most shops. We work on an appointment basis. This way you are without your vehicle for the least amount of time! Please call the shop to schedule an appointment.
What guarantees do you offer on your work?
We offer 15 month, 15,000 mile warranty. If you have a problem after your service, just bring it back!
Are you mobile?
We do all repairs in house to ensure that we fully inspect the vehicle and can accurately diagnose and repair the issue.
What is a diagnostic?
A diagnostic is a service procedure to pinpoint the root cause of an issue in your vehicle. This allows me to determine the malfunction and provide an accurate price estimate for the repair. Taylor's Auto cannot guarantee the repair, without an accurate diagnosis.
How much is a diagnostic, and how long does it take?
Typical cost is $140, but there are cases where this varies, depending on the issue. The testing takes about an hour, but this can vary, depending on the issue and how deep it is.
